If an applicant stops replying partway through, GuavaHire follows up an hour later, or at up to 3 times you choose. Then it leaves them be.

Quiet at 8 PM on a Saturday? The follow-up goes out at 9 PM. You can choose up to 3, from 30 minutes to a week after they go quiet.

    Each time an applicant goes quiet, one follow-up an hour later, unless you choose up to 3, from 30 minutes to a week later.

  • Where they left off

    Each one repeats the question they haven’t answered, and the wording changes each time, so a second follow-up never reads like the first.

  • Right on time

    Each one goes out when it’s due, day or night, weekends included. One set for a day later comes at the same time of day they went quiet.

Timed from when they went quiet

Every follow-up counts from the moment the applicant stopped replying. With 1 hour, 1 day and 3 days, someone who goes quiet at 6 PM on a Friday hears from you at 7 PM Friday, 6 PM Saturday and 6 PM Monday.

Stops the moment they reply

A reply cancels the follow-ups, and so does an opt-out, a paused job or you taking over the conversation. If they go quiet again later, the follow-ups start over.

Common questions

How many reminders does an applicant get?
One each time they go quiet, an hour later, unless you choose up to 3 in Settings. If they still don’t reply after the last, GuavaHire stops and marks them as not responding until they text again.
Do follow-ups go out at night or on weekends?
Yes. Each follow-up goes out at the time you set after the applicant went quiet, whatever the hour or day.
What does the follow-up say?
A short, friendly check-in in the applicant’s language, repeating the question they left off on. With more than one, each says it differently, and the last says it’s the last.
Does it follow up with people who finished?
No. Follow-ups are only for applicants who stopped partway through the first round.
